Many films have been delayed recently but there is one film which is not behind schedule and that is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Paul Rudd, Ant-Man has shared that he is in London right now, shooting the sequel. The shoot of the film was going to begin in July, but it has started before the schedule. This film is set to release in February 2023. The producers however are making sure they have a good head start for this Marvel sequel.
This sequel is the third film in the Ant-Man series. The first Ant-Man film was released in 2015. Back then, it was seen as a fun film and not as good when compared to other MCU films. But by the time Avengers: Endgame released, everyone realized how important Ant-Man truly is to the series. Fans are expecting Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania to be a big and fantastic addition to the Marvel Universe.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will witness Paul Rudd who will be joined by previous co-stars of the Ant-Man franchise, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, and Michelle Pfeiffer. Jonathan Majors will also be seen as the villain Kang the Conqueror. There is a rumor that Yellowjacket will return in this film. Corey Stoll had earlier played YellowJacket. The plot of the film has not yet been shared by Marvel and its place in the overall MCU timeline has not been disclosed either. However, the title of the film showcases that the multiverse of madness that Doctor Strange will fight in his sequel will be similar to the mania in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Marvel Universe depicts the Quantum Realm as very important but this realm can also lead to many major ramifications down the line. Marvel universe will soon add the X-Men and the Fantastic Four to its universe and the Quantum Realm and multiverse could maybe play a part in introducing them.
The story of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania being shot was disclosed by Paul Rudd himself. He sent a video to Tyreek Hill, an NFL player who shared this personal video on Twitter. Rudd can be seen announcing what he is up to in that video. He said in the video that he wishes he could be present. He is in London shooting for Ant-Man 3 and might show up. He says he could be small and you may not see him, but he will be there.
Earlier reports had suggested that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. will using the same technology that was used in The Mandalorian in The Volume. This technology can place actors in many environments instead of the green screen effects that are usually used. The Volume is located in Pinewood Studios where Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is already being shot. This was confirmed by Peyton Reed who is directing the film. He had tweeted in May when he announced that the movie’s prep work had started.
